Our Newcastle office is currently recruiting for a Service Design Lead . The Role

The Service Design Lead has responsibility for (i) leading the design of new structured and repeatable legal services and (ii) reviewing and improving legal services currently provided by the Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reimagining how legal teams from around the network interact with the Newcastle Office
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver legal work more efficiently, using standardised approaches supported by technology
  • Leading continuous improvement of existing legal work done in the Newcastle Office
  • Explaining design decisions and complex service delivery mechanics to Partners and Clients
  • Proposing and implementing new ways to promote cross-functional collaboration
  • Driving adoption and use of technology by legal teams through design
  • Contributing regularly to internal office communications, publications and events
  • Recommending, analysing, and communicating innovation metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Engage with regional Innovation Leads to build an EMEA-wide support network
  • Engage with Innovation Lawyers on disaggregation of workflows from practice groups
  • Managing the delivery of change and improvement projects including supervising junior members of staff
  • Skills and Experience Required

  • 3+ years in professional services ideally in the legal or financial sectors
  • Human-centred design, design thinking, service design, user research or similar
  • B2B or B2C SaaS (software as a service) vertical (e.g., LawTech, FinTech, InsurTech etc.)
  • Qualifications in Six Sigma, Lean or business analysis
  • Agile Project management and product management
  • You have practical experience working with technology to enhance the employee and client experience.
  • You are familiar with working in a matrix structure and are an excellent communicator capable of managing the (sometimes competing) expectations of multiple senior stakeholders
