Responsibilities

  • Oversight of 3 staff members
  • Act as day-to-day operational point of escalation
  • Coach, develop and train staff to maximise performance
  • Provide regular feedback to oversighted staff and the Line Manager
  • Assess training needs of oversighted staff and work in conjunction with the Line Manager to develop and support a training plan
  • Provide formal feedback and input into interim and year end appraisals

    Essential:

  • Strong numerical skills and taxation knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team building and development skills
  • Effective delegation skills (adhering to accepted limits of delegation)
  • Strong analytical, technical research and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Being responsible, reliable and accountable
  • Experience in a tax compliance or tax advisory role providing services to external clients

    • Desirable:

  • Degree qualification in relevant subject (accounting or finance related)
  • Taxation qualification (e.g. CTA or ATT)
  • Accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA or CA)
  • Fund accounting IOC or similar qualifications
  • Experience of managing, coaching or mentoring others
