Our competition practice is growing. We advise on the full spectrum of UK competition procedures (behavioural, commercial practices, merger control, investigations, damages claims, competition disqualification orders and dispute resolution) and state aid/subsidy control. The team also advises on investigations by the CMA under its consumer protection powers.

Due to increasing instructions from our clients we need to add an additional 5+PQE lawyer to our national team. The successful candidate could be based out of any of our regional locations (Bristol, Newcastle, Leeds, Southampton, Edinburgh or Plymouth) and will work on supporting our clients on a range of competition related instructions, both contentious and non-contentious. To be successful in this role you will have a practical and engaging approach to competition law, excellent drafting skills, good, broad ranging experience to-date of working on major competition law mandates, a willingness to learn and be flexible, with the ability to offer commercial and strategic advice to clients within a complex and challenging framework of law.Transactional advisory work, such as merger filings, currently forms the smallest component of the work done by the team. Working with the head of team to further grow the practice, by identifying and pursuing opportunities, will be a requirement of the successful candidate.
