We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our friendly and professional team. As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a quality catering service whilst adhering to health and safety standards.

This is a busy role, supporting the preparation of meals for our Day and Boarding community using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. As Chef, you will prepare meals following recipe specification on quantity, portion and quality in a timely manner taking guidance and instruction from the Head and Senior Chef on meal preparation, production and service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real passion for cooking with fresh locally sourced produce, and will work positively with a professional team of Chefs, supporting and leading the junior members of the team. You will need to be organised, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure. You will possess a minimum Level 1 and Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy. A City and Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ equivalent is desirable.

Core hours are 40 per week, working five days from seven [no split shifts].
