Our Banking and Finance practice acts for banks, non-traditional lenders, public sector bodies and borrower clients in relation to a wide range of financing transactions.

The team are now looking for a talented lawyer to join them; you could be based from either our London, Southampton, Bristol or Leeds offices. With a strong rating in Chambers, and an enviable FTSE 250 client list, this is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary banking practice with national and international reach.

So what will you be doing?

Working as part of our national team, you will have opportunity to work with great clients on a range of finance transactions, in particular corporate financings and acquisition finance deals. Your workload will include international as well as domestic financings, re-financings and restructurings.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You’ll be a lawyer with +5 years’ experience working in banking law, and have good general transactional experience as well as a developing expertise in corporate and acquisition finance. You’ll pride yourself on your ability to achieve results. You’ll have an analytical mind and enjoy the intellectual challenge that this work presents. Your pragmatism and commercial outlook together with excellent drafting skills, and your collaborative approach to working with other members of the team and supervising junior solicitors will be vital in supporting our clients.

You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be looking for a role that allows you to further develop your knowledge, expertise and reputation by working as part of a national team that acts for clearing banks, specialist lenders and private equity-owned businesses and owner-managed businesses. You will be keen to take an active part in building our London presence, and excited by the opportunity to align yourself to the team’s corporate finance practice area and/or one or more of our sector groups.
