The Role

Here at Boness Veterinary Hospital we are looking for a friendly, experienced and enthusiastic qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy team as part of our purpose-built practice. We are a busy hospital and there is plenty of scope to see a wide range of cases. Alongside the hospital we have a small branch practice, the role would include working across both sites offering a different experience each day.

This position is full time, working 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am-7:30pm. The weekend shifts include working Saturday mornings only, these are on a 1:4 rota and there are no out of hours expectations. 

About Us

We are a long-established RCVS accredited veterinary practice, located in the heart of rural Bedfordshire. The area has excellent transport links to London.
We have a well-equipped hospital with an in-house lab, ultrasound, digital X-ray, theatre, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and CT scanner. 

Currently we have a team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, 16 Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Reception team, a Lab Technician and a Practice Manager, so this role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a team and sharing knowledge and experience. We are a nurse-led team and as such our nursing team is passionate about standards of care and offer a variety of different services to our clients including weight clinics, laser therapy and puppy parties. Our Vets all hold or are working towards certificates and there are always learning opportunities for the nursing team to compliment these skills. We are a close team and work together to support local events and charities including dog shows, and the local Stray Cat Rescue.

Applicant Requirements 

The successful candidate will be a good team player who is keen to learn and progress, have a good sense of humor and have a real love for animals. We are looking for someone with great communication skills – both with clients and the rest of the team, who is able to work within a bustling hospital environment.
