and Responsibilities:

  • Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability which meets external and internal demands
  • Effectively manage relationships with existing, new and potential suppliers
  • Analyse data to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Oversee suppliers ensuring a solid working relationship is established to ensure you are able to influence and persuade
  • Conduct pitches and cost negotiations
  • Communicating any prices increases across the business
  • Drive innovation and new ways of working and thinking
  • Liaise with logistics supply and demand planning product development and Global supply management
  • Report and analyse trends
  • Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Proven experience as category buyer or similar
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
  • Customer and market focused staying close to customers, suppliers and competitors to create market leadership for the business
  • Have an analytical mind with a strategic ability and good financial awareness
  • Have an understanding of data analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office and an advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
