What is the role?
We are currently recruiting for a Mixed Tax Advisor to join our friendly team based in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, qualified tax adviser to continue building their career and client relationships.
The successful candidate will be dealing with various direct tax compliance matters for a range of business clients, taking responsibility for the preparation of tax documentation for both the businesses and the individuals who run them.
They will manage a portfolio of audit and owner managed corporate businesses, as well as a number of high net worth individuals, the majority of which will be linked to the existing corporate/business clients.
They will also provide support, training and guidance to other team members as and when required, to help build and improve upon the existing knowledge base within the firm.
As part of the tax department, they will work with the Tax Director when required to assist on tax advisory work and planning projects.

What else are we looking for?
As well as the above, you will be CTA qualified or have a similar level of experience, and be able to work well as part of a team but also show initiative when working alone. You will be a good communicator, and be comfortable in taking part and sometimes leading client meetings, being able to provide clear feedback to relevant team members. A high level of attention to detail is needed, and to be able to work to deadlines. You will be familiar with Outlook and the Microsoft suite of applications, and experience with the IRIS tax and accountancy software package is desirable but not essential.
