Assystem are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Reliability Engineer

The Post can be based from any Assystem office but will require regular travel to Scotland.

Key responsibilities:

  • Determine and document the processes and methods to manage the assets at clients site throughout their lifecycles
    Determine the information requirements to support the assets throughout their lifecycles and also to support the asset management system
    Determine and develop processes for evaluating and reporting asset and asset system performance
    Implement and follow a reliability plan that includes definitions of reliability goals and requirements
  • Review performance of the assets and asset systems and takes appropriate action
    Determine and develop processes for identifying non-conformities or incidents related to the assets and asset systems and for taking appropriate corrective or preventive action to deal with them
  • Use a root cause analysis process that is aligned with the reliability plan goals, and has developed preventative actions that consider cost, risks and performance
  • Track mitigation actions resulting from root cause analysis, and carry out periodic reviews and revisions of the Reliability Plan to reflect root cause findings
  • Carry out systematic periodic reviews and revisions of reliability plans using appropriate tools and techniques

    Experience, Skills, Qualifications, & Attributes:

    Essential:

  • Experience as a Reliability Engineer, defining preventative, predictive, corrective and breakdown engineering
  • A thorough understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance
  • An ability to carry out Criticality studies
  • An ability to carry out Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis on Assets
  • Experience of implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) practices (Lean)
  • Experience of working within a CMMS
  • A logical approach to data entry and setting of standards
  • Experience of using Microsoft tools for analysing data
  • Desirable:

  • Ideal candidates would already have experience within Clyde or a similar nuclear / waterfront environment
  • **Security clearance**

    This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

    Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
