As the Marketing Exec, your responsibilities will be split between supporting the UK Brand Manager in the development of impactful, effective marketing campaigns to target and engage bidders (customers) and auctioneers (clients), and the creation and deployment of B2B communications. You’ll support our clients UK brands in achieving their online share targets by increasing relevancy and engagement and by developing compelling messaging and content across all touchpoints. You’ll support in ensuring the brands have clear style, positioning, and messaging guidelines. In this role, you will develop a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape for both B2B and B2C and ensure partners are supported with campaigns, collateral, and PR to target and grow our relevant audiences.


  • Support the Brand Manager in the development of, and adherence to, clear style guides, marketplace positioning, and messaging guidelines
  • Own the delivery of engaging content across all social touchpoints and drive ongoing social account improvements
  • Support the Head of B2B Marketing (HOB2B) with the creation and delivery of the B2B communications programme
  • Understand customer insights through a range of web analytics, exit surveys, traditional surveys, VOC activity etc (working with the analytics team, and product teams) – to support the HOB2B to deliver impactful messaging aimed at enhancing the user experience for both bidders and auctioneers
  • Work with the HOB2B and Sales to manage and deliver all required sales collateral, client communications, and case studies
  • Support the Head of PR in the delivery of planned campaigns and PR activities
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to develop a comprehensive customer review and comment response script and process
  • Keys Skills/Experience

  • experience in marketing for an online (e-commerce, marketplace or similar) business
  • You have worked in a matrixed organisation and are able to collaborate effectively
  • You display a proven ability to execute to a high standard achieving set targets
  • You are a natural storyteller – you have a knack for bringing products to life
  • You understand digital marketing and can partner to blend great branding and performing well in digital channels
  • You have experience in both B2B and B2C communications
  • You are data driven and creative – that ideal left/right brain mix
  • You have excellent copywriting skills and a keen eye for detail
  • You possess strong commercial acumen and organisational skills

  • Experience in design – including working within the Adobe suite or similar
  • Experience with industry-leading ESPs. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics
  • An exposure to working with HTML – the ability to make simple tweaks to existing templates
