Harvey Nash is pleased to be working with our Edinburgh based client to recruit an HR Advisor on an initial 2 month contract, with extension likely at a daily rate of £190 per day inside IR35.

You will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support to ensure a high level service is provided to managers and staff. The post holder will also work with the wider HR team to help ensure the service is effective and processes across the team work seamlessly.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified to at least HND level (or equivalent)
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards this)
  • Up to date knowledge of current and future employment legislation/best practice and its practical application.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of best practice relating to equality and diversity.
  • Sound knowledge of employee relations issues/policies/procedures.
  • Working knowledge and good level of competence in the use of Microsoft office packages.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies.
  • Experience in analysing information or situations and generating reasoned solutions.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of best practice relating to equality and diversity.
  • Sound knowledge of employee relations issues/policies/procedures.
  • Working knowledge and good level of competence in the use of Microsoft office packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills, including the ability to present information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to analyse information and prepare written and numerical information using IT applications.
  • Effective organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in face to face situations and in writing.
  • Please note our client is based in Edinburgh and are currently operating a hybrid working model, with the majority of the time spent on site and travelling to other sites across Edinburgh.
