We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant for a local school in the Middlesbrough area on a temporary basis for September start. This role will be ideal for someone who is wanting a career in supply and is looking for day-to-day work as well as long term roles.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to provide classroom support to students with a range of special educational needs. 

Teaching Assistant duties

  • Supporting the teachers to plan learning activities for the students
  • Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour
  • Encourage the students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage in all activities
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher
  • Key skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • Experience of working within education
  • Understanding of how a classroom works
  • Able to follow directions from other team members whilst being able to work on own initiative
  • Enjoys working within education and with children
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Genuine interest in the role

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
