At Brinkley Physical Therapy, we are opening up a new and exciting inclusive apprenticeship opportunity for a budding Personal Trainer apprentice within a small physical therapy gym. We are looking for an individual who can effectively communicate with clients; build strong and positive relationships which reinforce the positive impact of exercise in developing a healthy lifestyle.
Our gym provides a service for people requiring additional support with their health & fitness goals. Often the service is provided for people with disabilities, illnesses or injuries exercising for lifestyle, recovery, and functional reasons.
Other people who may benefit from exercise therapy include those engaging in activity due to health concerns (such as diabetes or obesity), emotional reasons (such as confidence), and mental health & wellbeing reasons.

Vacancy Description

– Applicants should have acquired relevant active experience in the fitness sector prior to enrolment.

– Ideally, candidates will also hold a level 2 fitness qualification to access the Personal Trainer level 3 apprenticeship. For applicants that don’t hold this qualification you will be required to undertake an enhanced level 2/3 combined apprenticeship.

– For those with an education, health and care plan (EHCP) or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirement is to have passed a minimum of a full Functional Skills Entry Level 3

This position will be part-based in the community. Transport will be provided from a central Chelmsford location for non-drivers.

The location is not easily accessible via public transport. Travel costs via Access to Work could be applied for dependant on eligibility.

With Brinkley Physical Therapy Ltd you still be studying towards your Enhanced Personal Training apprenticeship (L2/L3 combined).
