Are you an experienced nurse with experience or a passion for working with children, young people and families with eating disorders? We are looking for an enthusiastic clinician to join our growing multidisciplinary team working from our West Hub base in Winchester.
We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated and with a passion to learn skills in working with young people with eating disorders and their families. Previous experience working with those with eating disorders will be an advantage although experience of working with children, young people and families would also be considered.
Excellent team working will be an essential component to the post. The role will identify and deliver relevant treatments and interventions; liaising where appropriate with families, carers and the professional network. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good level of initiative and an ability to work with a range of different presenting needs. The post holder will be required to take on other identified responsibilities suitable for the banding.
This is a permanent post and is part of a wider, well established nursing discipline within the county where professional development and innovative work is actively encouraged.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner who will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload of service users by undertaking the following duties:

Working for our organisation
The Hampshire CAMHS eating disorder team is developing operational delivery across the County of Hampshire. The team describe the environment as ‘well led, with the support of a range of clinical staff and leadership to develop professionally’ we offer training specifically for the role.
You will be workingin partnership with the individual service user and their families and carers as appropriate to ensure the delivery of the care plan, and to enable the development of a plan to facilitate their safety, promote their well being and support their independence and inclusion in the community, by using recognised age appropriate self management tools where applicable.
You will contribute to a family based model of treatment that will develop your systemic and risk management skills in a specialist environment.
No one day is the same, our nurses can be running busy treatment clinics, supporting specialist assessments and working from both clinical bases and home working, on occasion. We offer flexibility, career progression and a supportive team culture.
You will be supported by a range of clinical supervision and training across Sussex Partnership and within Hampshire CAMHS.
