The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (LCFI) is a highly interdisciplinary research centre that focusses on the challenges and opportunities posed by the future development of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team of research and support staff. Reporting to the Research Grants Administrator, the role holder will support the smooth running of LCFI through a variety of administrative tasks. This diverse and dynamic role will include the coordination of event and outreach activities, supporting its visitor programme and assisting with its new postgraduate courses, as well as providing personal assistant support to some senior academic staff.
We are looking for a flexible, resourceful individual who can learn quickly and show initiative. The role requires a good level of competence in standard software packages and strong attention to detail. You will be well-organised and able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively as a member of a team and to build positive working relationships with a wide variety of colleagues. Excellent communication skills are also essential.
Your key responsibilities include:
Fixed Term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2026 in the first instance. The role is part-time working at 0.8 FTE. The Centre actively promotes equality, diversity and family-friendliness, and is sympathetic to flexible working.
