Job Purpose
As our Software & IT Technician we will look to you to provide technical support to a global client base who use Mimic Condition Monitoring Software onboard vessels. It also requires aiding the research and product development team with software testing, test design and automation and test documentation.
Principal Accountabilities
·You will assist with Software Testing of Mimic product lines
·You will Provide level 1 SoftwareHardware support.
·Onsite installation of standalone Mimic software products.
·Data collector management, calibrations and minor repairs
·Creation of technical guides for issue to ships staff.
·Creation of standalone virtual machines for software testing and support.
·Administration of Vivantio service desk.
·Assist in the procurement of Mimic hardware products
·Assist CM consultants on site with basic engineering tasks including attaching Mimic measurement points, collection of vibration data. (Can require Global Travel).
Qualifications and Experience
·You will have some knowledge of SQL Server database engines
·Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Windows operating systems
·Some knowledge of VMware ESXI server
·Knowledge of network topology
·Knowledge of programming
·Basic electronics knowledge
·Clean Full UK Driving license
·Pass MoD Security Clearance
