Job Title: Production Planning Manager
Salary: Up to £40k

Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri

We are looking for a Production Planning Manager for our client in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Spray Shop. You’ll lead and manage your team to deliver exceptional results.

Role:

  • Motivate your team team to generate a positive work culture
  • Responsible for daily performance of the Spray Shop,
  • Ensuring the department is hitting KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement within your team
  • Oversee the scheduling all the work, ensuring all schedules are lean and efficient
  • Control labour requirements, flexing with agency staff when required
  • Deliver daily team meetings and report to senior management any issues
  • Responsible for achieving targets
  • Implement colleague training where necessary and keep training records up to date
  • Cost control
  • Ensure all records of work are maintained
  • Ensure work is carried out in a timely manner
  • Ensure all items from the Spray Shop are quality checked prior to dispatch
  • Liaise with relevant Managers on any customer issues
  • Monitor and manage team performance
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
  • Carryout formal investigations as and when required, in-line with the company’s disciplinary procedure.
  • Ensure that the Spray Shop is kept clean and tidy
  • Strive to achieve all of the department’s objectives
  • Deal with HR related issues i.e. disciplinaries, grievances etc.
  • Create a vision on new projects
  • Communicate and feedback within your team

Person Specification:

  • Excellent people manager
  • Great communicator
  • Ability to drive and deliver new initiatives
  • Able to think logically to make commercial decisions
  • Able to manage, develop and inspire people
  • Experienced in high volume output to tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to add value to existing processes and procedures
  • Ability to maintain a professional standard at all times
  • Previous experience of people management
  • Experience using MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • Experience of production scheduling working through a work-shop
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation’s, COSHH
  • Planning, scheduling, operating and maintaining a semi-automated production line.
  • Experience of working in the KBB industry (Desirable)
  • I.L.M. qualifications an advantage (Desirable)
  • MHE licence holder an advantage (Desirable)
  • Lean/5S knowledge and experience an advantage (Desirable)
  • Experienced sprayer (Desirable)
