Finance Assistant:
Location: GL56 9TP
Pay rate: £20,000 – £25,000 per annum
9am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Due to our continued expansion, we are recruiting for a Finance/Administrative Assistant. This is a varied role that encompasses all Companies within the group and would suit applicants either qualified by experience or someone looking for a wide range of practical experience to support study towards a formal accounting qualification. The position offers good career progression with the opportunity for increased responsibilities as experience is gained.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Bank, Credit Card & Expense Reconciliations
  • Payroll Administration
  • Assist with Statutory Returns
  • Maintaining accurate up to date accounting records
  • Monthly management accounting administration including prepayments and accruals
  • Analysis of materials and labour for projects
  • Use of in-house and Client portals
  • Assist with sales, hire and service division administration
  • General administration duties as required

    Key Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Sage Packages
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Able to process data accurately with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative
  • Work well as part of a small team and able to adapt to situations as they arise
