Lead/Senior Java Developer

Offices based in Bristol/Temple Meads

Mostly remote with c1-2 days per fortnight in the office

Up to £85k + Bens

Our client are now looking to increase their team and are recruiting for a number of senior and lead developers. These roles will suit a passionate technologist who is constantly seeking out improvement and keeps abreast of emerging tech – as oppose to making do or staying put with existing tech!

You can expect to work throughout the development stack , from rich interactive web applications to high performance backends. You will work with a diverse variety of platforms and modern architectures. Microservices , modern Front End frameworks , cloud , streaming and serverless .

Whilst software solution and product is key, due to the nature of the business you’ll get a good variety of blue chip global clients to work with and will have superb opportunities to work on a range of new and emerging technologies.

You will be comfortable in speaking directly to the end client so will have excellent communication skills .

Following an Agile approach with solid development practices, you’ll work in close collaboration with a team of software developers and testers and will have had some experience in mentoring more junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A real passion for emerging technologies
  • Will be able to quickly adapt and learn new technologies on the job
  • Exposure to the full software development life cycle and Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Good technical design skills including, where appropriate, OO design principles and design patterns
  • Experience of leading teams or managing client projects
