All applicants must hold a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and able to work within the county of Surrey.

The starting salary for this position is £15,158 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

Location for the role will be either Dorking, Kingston or Guildford and will be arranged with the successful applicant.

This position sits within the Surrey’s Outdoor Learning Team and will be of interest for those looking to develop a career in outdoor learning as you work towards a level 3 qualification.

Our 18-month Apprenticeship scheme provides a perfect way to earn a wage while you gain vital work experience and a nationally recognised qualification. You will be fully supported and mentored through your apprenticeship and be given protected time to complete your course work. The scheme is designed for individuals who are living and entitled to work in England and are not in full-time education.

An enhanced DBS will be required.

Some of the tasks you will be involved with in the role include:

  • Looking after our visiting groups to ensure they have a quality experience with SOLD.
  • Learning and deliver technical skills to facilitate outdoor activities in a range of activities such as Paddling, Raft building, Climbing, High Ropes, Archery, Mountain Biking, leading groups walking, Team Tasks, Orienteering, Challenge Course, Woodland Skills, many leading to formal qualifications from national governing bodies.
  • Assisting in other departments of SOLD as required
