Part Time Data Handler

We are currently looking for a Data Handler to join Devon & Cornwall Police in Plymouth. This position is part time – working an average of 18 hours per week, working from 7pm – 12.30am on a rota basis. You will be accurately recording reports of crime or incidents and inputting them onto various Force systems.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately recording reports of crime or incidents onto the appropriate databases

  • Assess any needs of victims or witnesses

  • Carry out research to enable you to complete accurate risk assessments

  • To provide advice and guidance to departments within the force in relation to inputting and management of data

  • Ensure the accuracy of data by regularly completing quality control checks

    • Key requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience working with databases

  • Analytical skills

  • The ability to problem solve and adapt to change

  • Good customer service skills
