We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Project Accountant to join the Contracting and Income team for the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This post will be based in our Newcourt House office, Exeter and has onsite free parking. We are a committed and focused team who pride ourselves on delivering an excellent standard of financial support and advice to both internal and external partners.

Main duties of the job

The post will be full time supporting the Contracts Manager of the Contracting and Income team for the Trust.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a wide breadth of accounting experience preferably with experience of dealing with contracting and income within an NHS Organisation. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to analyse, understand and communicate financial information to non-finance and finance colleagues.

Main duties will include the supporting of the delivery of the monthly income reports, the timely production of monthly reconciliations of control accounts and Commissioner payments, raising of monthly invoices and dealing with queries arising from these, assisting in the monthly income process and assisting in the contract management of the Trusts contracts understanding variances and explaining these to internal and external colleagues.

We are a small team and as such you may be required to help out at certain times of the month with cover as required.
