A school based in Nottingham are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to help support a student with complex needs. As children learn at different speeds and in different ways, we are looking for someone patient and caring that is always up for a challenge.

Our client puts the child and their family in the heart of everything they do therefore, we are looking for someone with good communication skills and a real passion for helping these young children succeed in life.

If you have experience working with Autism and challenging behaviour or are willing to do sufficient amount of training to gain these skills, then this may be the ideal role for you!

About the role:

-Immediate start with flexibility to work 5 days a week.

-Working hours between 8.30-3:30 

-Working on a long-term basis.

Specific duties:

-Strong team player.

-Recognise and celebrate talents.

-Manage pupils individually as well as on a 1:1 basis.

-Understand how to de-escalate challenging behaviour

Requirements:

-Good knowledge in special needs.

-Experience in mentoring, teaching, carer for those who have challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.

-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.

-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.
