The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead are looking for a Property Visiting Officer to join their Revenues Team.
The Property Visiting Officer is key in ensuring the accurate maintenance of the Council Tax and Business Rates databases.
The role is a diverse one and you will be in contact with a variety of customers, so excellent communication skills, the ability to be self motivated and good organisational skills are essential. Some knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates legislation is also preferable but training can be supplied.
The postholder will be required to:
Undertake visits to both domestic and commercial properties throughout the Royal Borough.
Liaise with various contacts, both internal and external customers.
Provide advice to taxpayers regarding discounts and exemptions, in respect of Council Tax and Business Rates.
Monitor and review new and unoccupied properties at regular intervals to ensure correct inclusion in the billing list.
Issue reports that assist towards keeping both property databases up to date.
Have a full driving licence.
