The Hackney Diabetes Centre are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic receptionist to support our outstanding team supporting people with diabetes living in Hackney.

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with excellent people skills who is keen to take on new challenges.

The post holder will oversee and supervise the day-to-day reception services and administrative support provided to the Hackney Diabetes Centre. The post holder will work across the diabetes and eye screening departments supporting staff and training new team members.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include:

  • To supervise the manning of the reception desk in the diabetes centre ensuring that it is manned by a member of the staff during opening hours at all times.
  • To ensure timely response of the team members to incoming telephone calls,
  • Ensuring that EPR booking processes are followed across the team.
  • To supervise the management of the office environment ensuring that supplies are ordered in a timely fashion, liaising with suppliers and other hospital departments ensuring the effective running of the team and equipment.
