Sandhurst secondary school is looking to recruit a science technician/trainee senior technician to join their busy science department team. The science technician role involves providing a wide variety of resources to support science lessons, especially student practical experiments and teacher demonstrations, including clearing up afterwards. The technician role involves some student contact.

This role would suit someone with some laboratory experience and/or relevant qualifications, who would also enjoy working in a secondary school environment. Therefore, we have included the potential of a Classroom Assistant aspect to the role, should that be of interest to candidates. For example, someone who may be considering applying for teacher training in the future.

If you are interested in the trainee senior technician role, then there would be an extended period of training in which skills and experience can be acquired. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you, either before or during the interview process.
