Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager, you’ll need to:

  • Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for managing product compliance, assembly process, ensuring safety standards, quality assurance, cost control and delivery requirements are met.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes so to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Take ownership of the supply chain focusing on purchasing cost controls, quality, and lead times with a view to ensuring tight cost control.
  • Further develop customer relationships by communicating with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on design and development, recommending solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost
  • Responsible for managing and developing employees by building positive and proactive working relationships.
  • Adaptable so to promote and drive changes led by business demand, with the ability to influence change requirements.
  • Requirements:

  • Relevant manufacturing experience
  • Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for manufacturing
  • Clear understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
  • Deep Understanding of ISO and Six sigma
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
