Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Braintree

Salary: £13 an hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am 5pm

Temporary to permanent contract

We are looking for an experienced Health and safety advisor to join a large and well-established company based in Braintree. This role although initially temporary has the opportunity to go on to a permanent contact for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities

  • To support with the delivery of health and safety strategy, policies and procedures.

  • To ensure that the company is legally compliant with all health, safety and environmental legislation.

  • To support key stakeholders in providing robust reporting and assurance with respect to reporting operational and strategic health and safety risks

  • To act as health and safety subject matter expert for ensuring up to date knowledge, providing technical expertise and advice to the business.

  • To develop health and safety management plans, policies and procedures.

  • Oversight of all Health and Safety risk assessments

  • Carry out/coordinate site inspections as appropriate to assess adherence to policies and procedures

  • Engage with external agencies and partners to share and improve knowledge and best practice

    • Desired Skills

    � NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent level 5 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety)

    � Tech IOSH minimum
