Assystem  are recruiting for an experienced  HR Advisor  to work on our customers site in  Derby  on a contract basis within the nuclear sector. 

You will be supporting the HR and leadership community by providing support for People activities across the HR value chain. Use of problems solving techniques to allow for robust business and people decisions. Integrate across functions / business sector and ensure control of key business drivers (e.g. Attrition, headcount, and absence).

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Support in the delivery of HR processes such as Performance Management, Reward Review, Salary policy, Engagement Surveys and deployment of Diversity & Inclusion plans.
  • Drive the effectiveness of the HR delivery model: Guide line managers to obtain support from the right areas; maintain a strong partnership with other HR service delivery teams.
  • Support business delivery in key projects such as Resourincg improvements and co-ordiniate the support from third parties such as GBS and AMS to ensure delivery.
  • Support business wide change and transformation programmes such as reorganisations to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Work closely with the Data Analytics team to enable high quality preparation of data for business level people meetings, identifying trends and improvements.
  • Provide holiday cover for key processes in support of People Partners such as resourcing approvals, reward approvals etc.
  • Lead the Risk process for the HR team ensuring regular updates and co-ordination with the Risk team
  • Team lead for Process Council for HR on behalf of Rolls-Royce Submarines limited ensuring the council meet and feed into the Process Council metrics and improvements.

    What we are looking for in applications:

  • Degree in applicable field or recognised relevant experience through professional development
  • Articulate, numerate and ability to manipulate and present data as required
  • Broad knowledge of the HR best practice across Employee Relations, Reward, Resourcing, Talent and Development, Coaching on Leadership, and Employment Law. Good knowledge of relevant local laws and compliance requirements.
  • Can demonstrate understanding of company commitments to meet business objectives and KPIs
  • Strong customer and relationship management skills. Strong customer service orientation.
  • Understanding of project management and project controls aspects
  • Tools including: Excel Advanced, PowerPoint Intermediate, Workday
  • **Security clearance**

    This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. 

    Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
