Job title: Group Financial Accountant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team playing a key role in the continuous development of the Finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, implement & maintain procedures to improve the control environment across the Group, driving the implementation of recommendations from Internal and External Auditors
  • Preparation of group consolidation and subsidiary financial statements
  • Review and update finance policies as appropriate, ensuring that they reflect the latest accounting and regulatory requirement 
  • Main point of contact for External Auditors and responsible for coordinating the year-end audit
  • Provide direct assistance to the GFC on all accounting, tax and financial control matters
  • Ensure compliance with regulations under CCO, SAO, off-payroll labour (IR35
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the Group
  • Ad-hoc finance projects as agreed with GFC
  • The successful candidate will;

  • Be a Fully qualified accountant with 2 years post qualified experience (ACA/ACC) with an audit background
  • Possess strong technical accounting knowledge and practical application of FRS102
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Be experienced in year-end audit and tax packs
  • Demonstrated delivery of preparation of statutory financial statements & group consolidations
  • Understanding of month end reporting processes and strong control environment
  • Proven financial accounting skills within a strong control environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation but also able to follow an agreed way of working
  • Be results driven, thrives on challenges, action-orientated and pragmatic in approach, flexible when needed
  • Have strong intellect with ability to balance multiple priorities against exacting deadlines and remain focused and clear
  • Team player, collaborative in style with ability to communicate at all levels and work cross functionally
