The Emergency Department is looking to recruit hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as part of our team at Withybush General Hospital.

These are various permanent part time hours available. 

There is opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally within a positive and challenging environment . The rota involves a variety of shift patterns including day/night duty to suit service requirements.

Main duties of the job

The Health Care Support Worker role within the Emergency Department is to assist the qualified nurses in delivering the fundamentals of care to their patient, specifically ensuring patients hygiene and nutritional needs are met. In addition to this a large proportion of the role will be to ensure that patients bay areas are tidy and that trolleys and store rooms are well maintained and stocked. Individuals should have excellent communication skills.

The ability to demonstrate care and compassion to patients and their relatives is essential. You will need to have a caring and professional approach to patient care. The ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team is paramount in order to provide and maintain high standard of care to all patients.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
