Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting an experienced Configuration Engineer commutable to St Albans.

The purpose of the role is to ensure Configuration work is completed on devices to customers required standards of quality within specified timeframes.

Role/ Package information:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8am – 4.30pm
  • Permanent opportunity
  • Site based working
  • up to £26,000 per annum
  • The Role:

  • Workshop based work – carrying out configurations and set up of IT hardware inclusive of but not limited to; laptops, tablets and smart phones
  • Configure and prepare machines for hardware and software installation
  • Install and configure software products as per customer’s bespoke specifications
  • Assist with the installation/imaging, configuration of desktop computers, laptops & peripheral equipment, and software
  • Test parts and software where required
  • Asset Tagging devices
  • Complete a minimum number of units and configure units within the quoted or agreed time limits
  • Ensure that all procedures and checks are followed so there are no missing items or parts
  • Working in a configuration centre, alongside other technician’s
  • Other workshop duties will be required, i.e. moving hardware and loading / unloading equipment and boxes ready for distribution and activity
  • The Candidate:

  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PC’s
  • Minimum 2 years knowledge of IT industry
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in configuration, Image building, SCCM, Autopilot
