DRIVING AMBITION OPPORTUNITY – UPSKILL TO AN LGV CAT C DRIVING LICENCE

Whether you already have a class 2 ( Cat C) licence and would like to upskill to class 1 (Cat C&E) or would like to start your journey to become an LGV driver, DHL is offering fully funded training through the Driving Ambition programme, our in-house training and development scheme. To secure your driving role, once the application process has been completed, you will be required to take part in the practical training and theory tests. The reward for your commitment is to become a fully trained professional driver and join our community of over 8,000 drivers in the UKI.

Job Type: Driving Ambition – Upskill from Cat B (car) to and LGV Cat C Driving Role

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Days) – start times 02:00-08:00

Contracted Hours: 48 per week basic

Annual Salary: £33,250 basic

What does this fantasic opportunity to become an LGV Cat C driver involve?

  • Start time – flexible to start between 02:00-08:00 – Monday to Friday (no weekend or bank holiday working)
  • Type of work
    • Delivery of ambient and chilled pharmaceutical products to hospitals and wholesalers
    • Excellent customer service skills

To apply for this role you must:

  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence – Cat B (car) – minimum 12 months experience
  • Live within a commutable distance to Banbury OX16
  • Have the motivation and enthusiasm to be the LGV Cat C drivers of the future
  • Be prepared to complete a medical and obtain a provisional license
  • Train to take an LGV theory and practical driving test
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring adherence to parking, speed and road signage
  • Work safely within the Health and safety environmental guidelines, and ensure all vehicle checks are carried out prior to commencement of work
  • Be flexible in your approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team, providing support in resolving problems and have a can do, right first time and passionate approach
  • Work within all legal parameters of drivers hours and working time directive legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements
