Position: Care Assistant
Care Categories: dementia, short stay, convalescence and palliative care. (Nursing home)
Negotiable Salary: £9.60 to £10.60 negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Full time hours or Part time hours depending on preference (22 hours, 33 hours and/or 44 hours options available)
Flexible Shifts: Day shifts /Night shifts or Mixed are available depending on your preference, all shifts are 12 hours 8/8 start and finish time

Right now, we are looking for a Care assistant to develop their career at our home located in Southall, London
Having experience in a healthcare background is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. An essential requirement is a passion for care and making a difference to people’s lives.
Our care home is purpose-built residential care home, offering a range of tailored care options for short or long term needs. Care is provided to people living with dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease and also to the young physically disabled. Palliative care is also available.
Staff help residents to live well, with respect and understanding. The home provides all types of dementia care – from nursing, residential to short-stay care.
A typical day will involve:
Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you’ll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
Supporting the Nurse or Senior Care Assistant to complete monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents and reporting any significant changes
Supporting at meal times: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
Attending planned activities: assisting the team, repositioning, providing care as necessary and taking part in day trips outside the home (day shift only)
Repositioning residents to ensure they are comfortable and supported
Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
