We are looking for a People Services Administrator to join our client the Food Standard Agency (FSA) on a temporary basis

This role can be a working from home role if you have a suitable working from home area. The client is also open to you working hybrid or in the office full time. The offices are based in York & Birmingham.

  • Client/Role: Food standard agency – People Services Administrator
  • Location: York city centre
  • The post holder may be home based, office based or multi-location. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and undertake work at FSA offices and other locations. The main office location is York city centre
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week, 9 – 5 (flexible around this)
  • Salary: £12.72 per hour (£24,473 per year)
  • Assignment length: Temporary until the end of August 2022 (could possibly be extended)

    Overview of role:

    Due to an ongoing internal restructure, a temporary resource is required to carry out the day to day management of FSA staff reward and recognition scheme and administrative support on health, safety and wellbeing requirements

    Day to day management of the FSA reward and recognition scheme, key responsibilities will include:-

  • Processing awards, monitoring awards, maintaining comprehensive records of reward submissions and providing management information working to monthly payroll deadlines.
  • Act at single point of contact (SPOC) for third part benefits supplier submitting monthly joiner and leaver reports, respond to queries from supplier and staff requiring access/have questions.
  • Responsible for providing administrative support on the health, safety and wellbeing outputs for the business, including:

  • Providing support in following up open incidents, outstanding reports, and circulating to managers in the business outputs from the internal health, safety and wellbeing management system.
  • Cleansing area reports and summarising outputs, collaborating with other stakeholders to calculate working days lost and report errors that need rectifying
  • Skills & Experience required for the role:

  • Strong administration background
  • Confident with all MS office packages (word, excel, outlook etc)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Experience of working in pay & reward and/or diversity & inclusion and/or HR policy and employee relations (desirable)
  • Experience in aspects of health, safety and wellbeing reporting (desirable)
