Teacher of Mathematics

Salary: £28,113- £42,336 (pro rata for part time)

We are recruiting for the following positions (please note on your application which position(s) you are applying for):

  • 1 x FTE permanent
  • 1 x FTE fixed term 12 months
  • 0.6 FTE fixed term 23 months

    We are looking for full and part time teachers of Mathematics: 1 FTE permanent post, 1 FTE fixed term post for 12 months and .6 FTE fixed term post for 23 months (we welcome applications from flexible route probationers). The successful applicants will be committed to warm and mutually respectful relationships with young people, families and colleagues, with an ability to engage all young people in effective learning and to manage and encourage positive behaviour. We are looking for effective communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills, and a capacity for both leadership and teamwork.

    This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

    Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
