Leveraging Cambridge University’s roles in maths education
A Director of Cambridge Mathematics is required to build on the success of this major strategic programme, to continue to develop and realise the vision for Cambridge Maths.
Internationally known and respected for our approach to mathematics education
The Director of Cambridge Mathematics will lead the strategic work to further develop a flexible and interconnected digital framework and products to reimagine mathematics education age 3-19. The role will align our expert teams in Maths Education to support our current business strategies that make the most of our diverse range of skills and capabilities, joining those up where they add value to the Teacher and Learner. The role is also responsible for ensuring Cambridge Mathematics sustainability to deliver impact, usage and profitable revenue growth.

You will create an environment where we make the most for our people and their wide range of talent, working closely with colleagues across Cambridge University Press and Assessment, as well as the wider University, ensuring that synergise are maximised and best practice is established and shared.
About You
With a further qualification in in mathematics education or mathematics education research you will have experience of curriculum or course development, leading significant and large-scale projects in an educational context on time.
You’ll have evidence of building successful partnerships and relationships and an awareness of subject issues relevant to mathematics, confident in debating the subject at a high level with academics, teachers, stakeholders, and other interested parties.
So public speaking skills are required as you will deliver professional training, participate in public forums, and speak authoritatively on mathematics education matters.
Sound knowledge, experience and understanding of mathematical teaching & learning pedagogy, with the ability to translate these into engaging, practical products which support the development of real mathematical understanding.
