About Us

Abbey Vet Centre is a small animal only practice. We have two branches with one in Durham and one in Chester le Street. Durham is a lovely city with excellent transport links to the North and South. There is a beautiful coast and dales nearby for people who prefer the countryside.

Both sites are fully equipped and independent, but we all work at both branches. Facilities include digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasonography, endoscope, multiparameter, laser, and more.

We have ten Veterinary Surgeons, nine Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse, two Auxiliary Nurses, and an excellent Reception Team. We also have a supportive admin team who takes care of financial matters including insurance. Our practice puts quality above quantity, this is to make sure our patients get excellent care and to make sure staff have a nice working environment.

Our team is incredibly friendly and supportive and is looking forward to welcoming a new member to the team.
