Technical Analyst

 

Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire (‘Estate Road 2’ site)

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm

 

About the Role:

 

As a Technical Analyst you will analyse and present a wide range of Technical metrics formulating and presenting the data in a clear and concise manner to both support and help drive the Technical teams across site. 

 

Reporting to the Assistant Technical Manager you will be accountable for the efficient and timely capture of all customer complaints. Graphically presenting and trending the information to allow data analysis to be conducted and communicated to the site Technical teams to allow the inclusion within relevant action plans.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • To schedule, chair, minute and publish, site customer complaint meetings.
  • To fully manage and implement the full end to end process across complaints. Ensuring all complaints are responded to, in full and on time.
  • To present customer complaint data and supporting action plans within both customer audits and visits. 
  • Create and populate relevant Technical databases that allow easy data manipulation and population of the various customer KPI reports and the monthly Technical KPI report.
  • Work collaboratively with the Specification Technologists to ensure all factory specifications are correct, updated efficiently and issued on time to support right first-time product production runs.
  • Support in the collation of information pertaining to the generation of traceability paperwork for both internal and external purposes.
  • Analyse trends across Micro, chemical and nutritional data flagging to the Technical team where further investigative work is required. Attend meetings to present this data as applicable capturing and circulating the agreed minutes and actions.
  • Support the team in preparing for Technical meetings and audits and actively be involved in them as part of personal progression.
  • Administer and manage Technical documentation issue and updates as required, including the on time issuing of QAS documents for new products to support both taste panels and specification generation.
  • Maintain and update the Technical aspects of the Q- pulse system.
  • Provide cover for your ‘opposite number’ at based at the opposite site during periods of absence.
  • To support the site by trending internal KPIs such as Quality near misses and incident reports.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

 

  • A food related degree or qualification would be desirable.
