As part of the technical reporting to the Technical Manager, you will work alongside and support the technical and operational team, helping to lead and direct the quality procedures and processes. You will be an integral part of the wider team, supporting inclusion, growth and change throughout the business and in line with our values.

JOB PURPOSE:

The above role is to support the business with all company QA grading preparation, as well as managing the lab team and function. You will work closely with the operational site team and supporting all QA/QC functions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Look after all QA/ QC on site
  • Support the Technical Manager
  • Result, reporting, customer & supplier complaints
  • Responsible for the review, creation and overhaul of companywide work instructions and standard operating procedures in conjunction with the safety team.
  • This will include:

  • A clear and comprehensive set of documents that will be used as a concise training aide for all operational staff. This will encompass all safety, technical and operational requirements, be pictorial, easy to use, accessible and will benefit across departments, including;
  • Staff training and retention
  • Safe use of equipment and working practices
  • Upskilling the workforce
  • Reduction in minor callouts from engineering team
  • Better use of equipment and efficiencies
  • Running of the internal audit system at Hawes. This will include collation of all audits, issues, follow up actions and reporting
