Job Description
Your Role:
Design, develop and maintain a highly scalable, highly performing and highly available system
Write readable, maintainable, and efficient code for APIs, functions, scripts, etc.
Construct and manage services published to consumers
Develop front-end applications and widgets to demonstrate capabilities of reusable solutions developed by team
Collaborate with Product Managers, QA owners and other stakeholders in understanding the requirements and work on delivering user stories/backlog items with highest levels of quality and consistency across the product
Ensures all documentation and knowledge bases are updated to help ensure good collaboration within and outside of our group
Help build consensus by being open to a variety of viewpoints and aid in bridging a gap in case of a disagreement
Mentor other engineers and continue building a strong culture of quality
Your Deliverables:
Build scalable products using Python stack and deploy them on AWS ecosystem which includes services – Document DB, Elastic Search, Postgres, ECS, S3, Terraform, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, Docker, Vault, API, SQL
Build PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the team with the selection of vendor solutions, technologies, methodologies and frameworks
Qualifications
Your Expertise:
8-10+ years of development experience with at least 3+ years of AWS cloud development
Strong Python skills and object-oriented design experience. Experience with Python notebooks
Good understanding of Services, Service Oriented Architecture principles, RESTful API standards, Event Driven Architecture
Experience with API development using Python frameworks like Chalice, Django, Flask, etc.
Good to have front-end development experience in JS frameworks like React.js, Angular, etc.
Good understanding of industry development, deployment processes and agile development methodologies desired
Passionate technologists with an innovative mindset
Knowledgeable of building infrastructure as code, CI/CD process with a DevOps mindset
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence
End-to-end ownership of product design to delivery
Experience designing and implementing applications with highly optimized and scalable architectures using industry best practices

Exceptionally ambitious and communicative hands-on individual who are comfortable collaborating within the Agile methodology as part of a cross-functional team
Have experience working in fast-paced environments, and who have the passion and skills to take our product offerings to the next level.
Work in a collaborative team environment that encourages you to perform at your best, while contributing to the engineering efforts of one of our scrum teams.
You will be challenged to engineer right-sized solutions for complex business problems
You will apply your knowledge of modern software design, best practices, design patterns, and frameworks, with an understanding of application performance and maintainability
