At Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) we are excited to offer a number of Internal Communications Business Partner opportunities within our Corporate Communications Teams. If you are a confident and enthusiastic communications professional, with a proven track record for developing creative communications and imaginative campaigns, then we have this perfect role for you.

Working with specific business areas within DE&S and SDA, you will develop and deliver a proactive communications strategy and plan to engage staff and stakeholders. Playing a pivotal role in driving forward our communications activity, you will ensure this is aligned to the DE&S and SDA Communications and Engagement Strategy.

These dynamic roles will empower you to engage with a range of senior stakeholders, supporting their communications requirements, and making sure all messages and campaigns are coordinated and aligned to business priorities.

Please note we are currently recruiting for multiple posts, one is on a 12-month fixed-term appointment. (To be discussed at interview)

Responsibilities

As Internal Communications Business Partner your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

* Delivering internal communications activities which provide effective two-way communication between employees, senior leaders and line managers, engaging staff on the issues that affect them
* Managing and developing engaging, high quality internal communications strategy campaigns and plans delivered through multi-media channels and leading in shaping the content, tone and mode of delivery of messages to all internal audiences
* Managing and developing effective communications plans, writing engaging copy, developing creative briefs and event management of staff events and forums
* Leading on the engagement with key stakeholders which may include senior executive level, cross government and MOD
* Direct line management of junior colleagues within their own team as well as well as virtual management across the organisation
* Developing and implementing business area internal communications strategy, aligned to corporate communications process, channels and strategy
* Providing strategic communications advice to senior management on use of channels and delivery of key messages
* Developing positive relationships with all stakeholders across senior management and programme teams
* Evaluating and measuring effectiveness of communications activities
* Responsibility for leading and developing the organisational brand

What you will be assessed against

To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

* Evidence of experience of working for an in-house corporate communications team or agency
* Proven successful Stakeholder Management experience

It will also benefit your application if you are able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:

* Proven track record in copy writing
* Video and photography
