Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the controllers to provide a safe, expeditious and orderly flow of aircraft movements
  • Answering and processing telephone calls
  • Flight Progress Strip processing and completion of movements on the Copperchase system
  • Processing AFTN/AMHS messages
  • Monitoring and actioning ATC emails
  • Taking bookings for circuit, Instrument training and other flights
  • Participating in operating the ATC Simulator
  • Alerting internal and external agencies in the event of an emergency and following ATC actions as detailed in the Airport Emergency Plan
  • Prepare and disseminate meteorological observations
  • General administrative tasks
  • Requirements

  • GCSE’s/A Levels A-C Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills. 
  • UK driving license and good colour perception
  • Multitask and prioritise their work streams.
  • ATC Simulator experience preferable
  • Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
