Air Traffic Services Assistant Job Vacancy in Cambridge, England, UK

Key Responsibilities
Assist the controllers to provide a safe, expeditious and orderly flow of aircraft movements
Answering and processing telephone calls
Flight Progress Strip processing and completion of movements on the Copperchase system
Processing AFTN/AMHS messages
Monitoring and actioning ATC emails
Taking bookings for circuit, Instrument training and other flights
Participating in operating the ATC Simulator
Alerting internal and external agencies in the event of an emergency and following ATC actions as detailed in the Airport Emergency Plan
Prepare and disseminate meteorological observations
General administrative tasks
Requirements
GCSE’s/A Levels A-C Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good communication skills.
UK driving license and good colour perception
Multitask and prioritise their work streams.
ATC Simulator experience preferable
Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
