About the role

The Advocacy and Programmes team help us achieve our goal of ensuring UK government policy and practice promotes and protects human rights The Advocacy Adviser coordinates parliamentary activity across the organisation and works with others to design and operationalise advocacy strategies to achieve positive human rights change.

The role may be for you if:

  • You have experience in designing and operationalising strategic advocacy plans to achieve change
  • You can maintain relationships with parliamentarians on specific human rights issues
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • You also have a good knowledge and understanding of the UK political system including Westminster and Whitehall processes; and parliamentary mechanisms and tools
