Our London office is currently recruiting for two mid-level corporate associates. The team is the larger of our two corporate teams in London, acting on a wide range of public and private M&A, ECM and corporate advisory mandates for clients in multiple sectors and across multiple geographies, but with a particular focus on clients in the energy (particularly clean energy), infrastructure, mining, transport and real estate sectors. A number of our clients are FTSE or FTSE companies and the team has a very international client base, operating in both developed and emerging markets with a number of partners focusing on transactions in Asia, Africa and the CIS.
An opportunity has arisen for two mid-level associates with experience of cross-border private M&A and/or public company M&A/ECM experience, or a combination of these. We are seeking experienced associates who are willing and able to take a high level of responsibility on a range of international corporate work and help us build client relationships.
Subject to the relevant candidate’s experience, the role will involve acting on a wide range of private and public company M&A and ECM transactions and joint ventures. Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of agreements, project-managing transactions and overseeing the work of junior team members. Taking an active role in business development and client initiatives alongside partners and helping with the training and development of junior team members.
Working as a member of the team
Teamwork and collaboration is essential – the corporate team works closely with other teams within London and with a wide range of our international offices on most transactions so it is essential that the candidate enjoys working as part of a team, both within the firm and with the client and its other advisers. Teamwork is also an important element of how we develop client relationships and business development activity will involve the candidate working as part of a wider client or industry focused team.
