The School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences was formed in August 2017 and offers provision relating to physiotherapy, sports therapy, sports and exercise sciences and sports performance and coaching. It is also home to the Human Performance Unit.
Duties of the Role
This post will provide administrative support for our continuing professional development (CPD) modules and learning pathways in musculoskeletal assessment, practice and sonography. Responsibilities will include providing a proactive support service to applicants, students and the programme team, as well as other academics and external practitioners.
Core duties include coordinating the admissions and registration process for a range of modules, producing attendance and waiting lists for modules and liaising with internal and external contacts regarding attendance and funding requirements. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of the full CPD student course life cycle, ensuring high quality communications for all.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will have GCSEs at Grade A-C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English and have a high level of expertise and/or qualifications in IT including Microsoft Word and Excel.
You will have extensive experience of working in a challenging and varied administration role with experience of communicating with a diverse range of individuals and organisations, along with the ability to work accurately with exceptional attention to detail and possess demonstrable organisational and IT literacy skills. The ability to work proactively and independently is required.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with and provide support to academic staff and professional services colleagues at all levels are essential attributes for this post.
