Pharmacy Support Worker Band 2

£18,383 £20,015 pro rata

0.5 WTE 18.75 hours/week

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Support Worker to join our well established pharmacy team in the Satellite Pharmacy at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre at the Western General Hospital. The Edinburgh Cancer Centre is undergoing large infrastructure modernisation and upgrades with an aim to meet the increasing demands for continued delivery of high quality cancer care for patients in this area. All members of the Pharmacy team are integral to the success of the department.

The Pharmacy Department at WGH is a dynamic and diverse department who values the workforce and joy in work.

The working pattern is currently Monday to Friday with a rotational weekend service commitment and participation in public holiday rotas. Prior experience of all aspects of hospital pharmacy including aseptic services, stock control and organisational qualities are beneficial but not essential.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
