About the hospital;

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable and dynamic private hospital based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their friendly theatre department on a permanent basis. The hospital is a 35 in-patient bedded hospital offering a range of services and facilities including 4 operating theatres including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and a Diagnostic Suite. The team are passionate about the high quality care they provide and looking for a like minded Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join the team.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be working in the theatre department as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Working across a variety of surgical specialities
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet each and every patients needs
  • Focus on orthopaedic scrub and opportunity to learn new procedures and techniques
  • Interpret information and make a justifiable assessment of patients
  • Develop a strong working relationship with team, patients and their families

Who we’re looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC registered – your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Minimum of 1 years theatre experience in the UK
  • Experience or an interest in orthopaedics
  • Competence across a range of skills
  • Able to work independently when required
