The Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative professional services marketing team. Over the last two years the team has doubled in size and now has over 30 marketing professionals within it across corporate communications, business development, and marketing communications. The team has played a central role in the delivery of a number of strategic projects including a business-wide rebrand, digital transformation project, CRM implementation and ley account management launch. Going forward the team will be at the heart of a number of projects, campaigns and marketing activities to help the business grow.

The Role

The Events Adviser role is responsible for the design and delivery of the Gateley events programme, including both in-person and virtual events.

The role will report to the Events Manager and work closely with the wider Marketing team providing expert events support to two of Gateley’s four platforms. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of planning and delivery to ensure a fantastic customer journey from invite through to attendance.

This role is critical in developing a first-rate delegate experience which supports our brand values of being ‘forward thinking’ and ‘straight talking’. Please note this role offers a hybrid working opportunity.

Key Skills / Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the Gateley in-person event programme, from brief through to on the day delivery.
  • Delivery of the Gateley virtual event programme using Teams, gotowebinar and other approved platforms through webinars, virtual roundtables, training sessions and Gateley academies.
  • Understanding the business plan objectives and target audiences of each of the platforms that you are supporting and the role that well designed and expertly delivered events can deliver against these objectives.
  • Create an engaging and valuable event experience working closely with the Digital & Design team from inception to delivery.
  • Provide virtual tech event support for the online event programme acting as the virtual event moderator and coach for the online programme and managing pre-event training with speakers and on-the-day tech support with our chosen platforms.
  • Manage delegate lists, venue requirements, 3rd party expectations and suppliers with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Development and creation of event support materials, including, delegate packs, badges, bespoke branded merchandise, the branding of virtual platforms, event packs, polls and handouts, ensuring they bring the Gateley brand to life.
  • Support the events ROI reporting process, working closely with the Groups BD team and Digital Team, to ensure we effectively capture key metrics to measure and track the effectiveness of our events programme.
  • Travel to various locations across the UK to deliver events, and provide a first-rate delegate experience
  • Manage the Gateley events and networking calendars.
  • To be aware of and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
