Objectives and Key Tasks:

  • End user support & training for all business systems including leading Systems CIP cross functional team, identifying system training needs across the business, and IT inductions
  • Advising the business on new technologies, systems, infrastructure and best practices
  • Audit current systems & processes, documenting correct process in video format for user training.
  • Business continuity (back-ups, and goal of 24/7 access to business systems).
  • Appropriate & authorised access levels to employees, external service providers, customers and suppliers.
  • Monitoring, management and renewals of outsourced services, support contracts,licences, ICT purchasing and maintenance of the ICT equipment register.
  • Monitoring and managing the integration of sub-systems with core ERP / business systems (SAP Business One with SAP FSM, Produmex etc)
  • Reviewing and ensuring conformity of master-data and system records
  • Investigating, testing and approving any system change requests
  • Project managing system development plans within the business (including trialling, scoping, selection, budgeting, testing, training, implementation)
  • To maintain and improve all in-house systems (non-IT and IT) throughout the company.
  • Budgeting, controlling and reporting all ICT spend
  • To align performance with Company Objectives
  • Any other non-defined duties that may be required from time to time
  • Delivery of a number of projects including;
    • SAP Business One systems implementation for new acquisitions
    • Migration of systems infrastructure to cloud / group servers for new acquisitions
    • Implementation of cloud-based phone system to replace landline / mobile communications (Vodafone “One-net” system)
    • Sourcing & implementation of
      • Hire/vehicle fleet software
      • Accounts payable automation software
      • Digital / electronic signing software
      • Digital expenses software
      • IOT – connecting vehicles & sensors for monitoring, reporting, notifications & alerts for repair, service and predictive maintenance.
    • Improvements in core SAP Business One systems
      • Roll-out & support of CRM system
      • Implementation of mobile warehouse & barcoding add on (Produmex)
      • Implementation of SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud)
      • Creating SQL queries and dashboards for department KPIs
      • Reporting & monitoring of sales order book
      • Automation of manual credit control processes (reminders, overdue letters etc)
      • Maintain offsite & mobile access to SAP via web browser/web app, and phone apps.

Salary / Remmuneration:

£45,000 – £50,000 + additional benefits + 1pm finish Fridays
